Why this project exists
Many quick lookup tools hide the UTC conversion, require a guessed birth time or show a precise-looking degree without explaining what happens across an uncertain interval. This project makes exact, approximate and unknown time first-class inputs, then places the method and audit beside the result.
The goal is a useful calculation with fewer hidden assumptions—not a substitute for scientific, medical, legal or personal advice. Astrology is not scientifically established; interpretations are for entertainment and self-reflection.
What the current calculator set includes
The site contains one combined Big Three, Big Six and planetary placements calculator plus dedicated Moon, Rising, Sun, Venus and Mars calculators. Supporting guides explain method, birth-time accuracy, disagreement causes, zodiac systems, minimum birth data, the 0–30-degree sign map, a beginner reading order and the public validation evidence.
It deliberately excludes houses, aspects, a natal wheel, chart readings, compatibility, personality profiling, predictions, accounts, saved profiles and standalone Mercury-through-Pluto routes. Those exclusions prevent a focused lookup utility from turning into an unreviewed content or interpretation platform.
Who publishes and maintains it
Astro Placements publishes and maintains this service. Calculation behavior is maintained through versioned source, executable acceptance evidence and dated review records.
Legal operator and data-controller disclosures are kept in the Legal notice and Privacy policy rather than repeated throughout calculator and editorial pages.
No anonymous “editorial team” or invented expert biography is presented. Technical calculation review remains distinct from any later interpretive authorship.
How accuracy and corrections are governed
Production libraries and data snapshots are pinned. Separate independent fixtures test civil time, planetary longitude and Rising behavior. Material changes require the relevant tests, a dated change note and review of affected guides before publication. The current calculation evidence is summarized on the method page.
Non-sensitive calculation, content and accessibility correction reports can be sent through the dedicated Contact page. Users are told not to send birth records, chart screenshots or complete birth details.
