Birth details processed in the browser
The form uses birth date, time confidence, selected place, coordinates, IANA timezone and the resolved UTC instant to calculate placements. Those values stay in temporary browser memory. Application code does not send them to an Astro Placements database, add them to a page address, write them to localStorage or sessionStorage, or include them in the placement-only clipboard text.
The country/place search loads bundled GeoNames shards and timezone boundaries into the browser. Reloading clears the form and result state. There is no saved chart, account, name, email, gender or identity field.
Ordinary page and asset requests
Opening any website requires requests for pages, scripts, styles, fonts and data files. Astro Placements is hosted on Hostinger's Node.js platform and delivered through Hostinger hosting, CDN and security infrastructure. Those services can receive ordinary technical information such as IP address, request time, requested page, browser information and security signals. The calculator does not attach birth inputs to those requests.
This distinction matters: local calculation prevents application-level transmission of the form values, but it is not a claim that visiting a hosted site produces no infrastructure data at all.
Analytics, advertising, accounts and contact
The current site does not load analytics or advertising tags, provide accounts, or accept contact-form submissions. If a visitor voluntarily emails the published contact address, the business mailbox receives the sender address and message; birth details must not be included.
Email delivery and mailbox providers process the sender address, routing data and message content when a visitor chooses to email the business. If analytics or advertising is added later, this policy will be updated before activation to explain its purpose, provider, data fields, retention, lawful basis and consent behavior. Birth date, time, place, coordinates, timezone, UTC instant, longitude and placement combinations will remain excluded from analytics and advertising.
Purposes, legal bases and retention
Necessary page delivery, abuse prevention and security logging support the legitimate interests of operating a safe, reliable service. Contact messages are processed to answer the sender's request, handle corrections and protect the service; legal obligations may require limited records to be retained where applicable.
Birth inputs and calculated results are not retained by the application. Hosting and security logs follow the provider's operational and security retention controls. Business emails are reviewed at least annually and deleted when no longer needed; a minimal correction record may be retained without unnecessary personal or birth information so the fix can be audited.
Recipients and international processing
Infrastructure data is available only to the operator and contracted hosting, delivery, security or mailbox providers where needed to supply those services. Astro Placements does not sell personal data.
A provider may process data in another country under the safeguards described in its contract and privacy documentation. The provider links below explain its own processing; they do not change the rule that raw calculator inputs stay in the browser.
Your rights and how to contact the controller
The data controller is Iuliana Luntrasu, sole trader trading as Astro Placements, operating under the Astro Placements trading name in Ireland. The business is based in Ireland. Depending on the circumstances, data-protection rights can include access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and a complaint to the Data Protection Commission.
Privacy and data-rights requests can be sent to privacy@astroplacements.com. Do not include birth certificates, chart screenshots or complete birth records.
Policy updates and current summary
Effective 4 September 2026. This policy is checked against the hosting, security, cookie, contact, analytics and advertising configuration and is updated before any material data-handling change is activated. Material changes receive a new review date.
